Welcome to the website of BelTox, the Belgian Society of Toxicology and Ecotoxicology (BelTox) promoting the regular exchange of science among students and professionals from scientific institutions, universities, authorities and industry in the fields of toxicology and ecotoxicology.

The scope of its activities includes the study of potential adverse effects to health and the environment of a large variety of natural and man-made substances. BelTox also encourages integration of Belgian scientific activities at the international level.

BelTox, in cooperation with the Belgian Mutagenesis Society (BEMS) and the Toxicological Society of Belgium and Luxemburg (BLT), has taken all the necessary steps to launch the Belgian Register of Toxicologists and the final official approval from EUROTOX is imminent.  Click here to view some general information.

In 2010 the "Linz-Congress", a joint event of EUSAAT - European Society for Alternatives to Animal Testing, ESTIV - European Society of Toxicology in vitro and zet - Austrian Centre for Alternative and Complementary Methods to Animal Testing, will be held as  “ESTIV 2010 - the 16th International Congress on In Vitro Toxicology”.
